Dental Implants
The closest thing to a natural tooth.
An implant replaces a missing root, preserving bone and supporting a natural-looking tooth without touching neighbors.

What is dental implant?
A dental implant is a small titanium or zirconia post placed in the jawbone to replace a missing tooth root. After healing, it supports a crown, bridge or denture. Implants protect the bone and don't rely on adjacent teeth. Their main limitation: they require enough healthy bone and several months of healing.
Who is a candidate?
Often a good fit
- One or more missing teeth

Needs extra care or planning
- Smoking
- Uncontrolled diabetes
- Bisphosphonate medications
- Insufficient bone
When an exam is needed: A 3D scan evaluates bone, nerves and sinuses.
Problems it can address
Limitations: Implants don't get cavities but can develop gum disease (peri-implantitis).
